Training Visa Australia – Basic Requirements

Approved Sponsorship

The Australian company that intends to employ you must obtain approval as a Temporary Activities Sponsor. This demonstrates their ability to directly provide training, unless they are a national Australian Commonwealth Government agency.


Nomination

Your sponsor must nominate you to participate in a program of occupational training.


Age

You must be 18 years old or older at the time of application.


English Proficiency

You need to demonstrate at least a functional level of English proficiency.


Visa History

You must not have had a visa cancelled or a visa application refused in Australia before.


Health and Character

You must meet the health and character requirements set by the Australian authorities.


Health Insurance

You must have adequate health insurance coverage.
